Loreauville - Services for Mr. Albert James III, 51, of Loreauville will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 3:00PM at Fields Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Carl Lewis serving as officiant. Mr. James transitioned Tuesday, December. 18, 2023.

Visitation will be held at 2:30PM until the time of service at Fields Funeral Home Chapel.

Albert James III was a resident of Loreauville, Louisiana. “Potch” as he was affectionately known by family and friends, departed this life at 5:45PM on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Iberia Medical Center.

Albert attended Loreauville High School where he played several different sports. He was employed as a general laborer. He was also a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids and extended family. He was the life of the party and to know him was to love him. “Potch” you will truly be missed.

He leaves in God’s care, his wife, Megan Jefferson James of Paris, IL, his mother, Nora Lee James of Loreauville, La., five sisters: Angela Angelle of Opelousas, La., Amanda Knatt (Jason) of Loreauville, La., Allison Williams (Joe) of New Iberia, La., April White (Arthur) of New Iberia, La., and Adrean James of New Iberia, La.; one brother, Ali James of Tulsa, OK; four daughters: Desiree Olivier of New Iberia, La., Azaria Frederick of Jeanerette, La., Aniyah James of Paris, IL., Alyza Williams of Lafayette, La.; four sons: Jamal Frederick, Starron Frederick, Armonie Frederick all of Jeanerette, La., and Avien Jefferson of Paris, IL. Potch also leaves to cherish six grandchildren along with one bundle of joy on the way, one god-daughter, Latrell Polk of New Iberia, La., one god-son Gerald Davis Jr. of New Iberia, La., god-parents: Margaret Marshall of Loreauville, La., and Andrew Ryes of New Iberia, La., one special sister, Tarrae James and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert James Jr., grandparents, Albert Sr. and Mayolla James, Maudry C. Anthony, Charles Anthony, John Narcisse and Alice Edison Narcisse, Agnes Narcisse and one nephew Deondrick Bowser.
