New Iberia, LA - A Home-Going Celebration for Ms. Aquila Latigue, 38, who passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Maison de Lafayette; 2707 Kaliste Saloom Rd., Lafayette, LA. will be held on September 7, 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Pentecostal Church of Lydia, 7219 Weeks Island Rd; New Iberia, LA. 70560. Pastor Perkins, Officiating.

 Aquila Latigue, a beautiful soul, who touched the lives of so many, was born on May 5, 1986 to Rickey James Latigue, Sr. and Carolyn Ann Collins. Aquila left this world surrounded by love and warmth, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, grace, and compassion.Aquila leaves to cherish her memories are her mother: Carolyn Ann Collins; her father: Rickey James Latigue, Sr. (Marie Latigue). She will be profoundly missed by her brothers: Chronicle Latigue, Esaias Latigue, Josias Latigue, Elijah Latigue, Rickey Latigue III, and Quin'C'Allen Jones; her sisters: Glorytoglory St. Julien (Kevin St. Julien), Miracle Latigue, Jasmine Jones, and Shanell-Monise Jones, as well as a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Aquila's life was a testament to love and resilience. She was loved by so many and will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the lives she touched. Aquila is preceded in death by her brother: Rickey James Latigue, Jr.; Maternal grandparents: Carroll Collins, Jr., Evangeline Bonnet, Cathy Collins; her paternal grandfather: Irvin Latigue, Sr.
