Mr. Carol Butler, 67,  passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2024 at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, LA.

Carol Butler lived a life of resilience, passion, and love. A jack of all trades, he found joy in working with his

hands—whether as an electrician, landscaper, or fixer of all things. His skills provided comfort to those he cherished.

Carol, is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eldridge Butler Sr. and Eva Oliver Butler, his fraternal grandmother, Lama Smith, a host of beloved aunts and uncles, and his granddaughter, Ryneisha Sandford.

He is survived by his loving mother, Alma Hector; his son,

Roger C. Reed; (5) grandchildren, A’zhier Edmond, Faith

Edmond, Ta’Rajah Sanders, Monica Sanders, and

Ra’Janae Minor; (3) sisters, Carolyn “Ann” Butler

(his twin), Pauline Compton (Clayton), and Charlene

Butler. Carol also leaves behind his companion, Shirley Philips, and a special

friend, Kevin along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and

countless friends who will forever remember his kindness and generosity.

Carol embraced life’s simple joys—music, fishing, and

cheering for his favorite team the Philadelphia Eagles. He

shared laughter, wisdom, and unwavering support with

those around him. Though he has left this world, his spirit

lives in the hearts of those who loved him.
