She will await the resurrection at St. Matthew Cemetery on Fulton Street, New Iberia, Louisiana.
On Friday, March 15, 2024, God dispatched his angels to relieve Carolyn Ann Hamilton of her earthly duties. Carolyn was born on August 15, 1960 to Esterine Lemon Mitchell and Wilbur Hamilton. She was baptized and accepted Christ as her personal savior. Sis loved doing her nails and hair and loved talking on the phone with her grandkids.
She leaves her sweet cherished memories to her companion, Lance Richard of Lafayette, LA.; two (2) daughters Shirley Hamilton (Courtney) of New Iberia, LA and Felicia Hamilton (Harland) of New Iberia, LA; one (1) son Ricky Hamilton of New Iberia, LA; three (3) bonus kids Darien Turner, Lissie Bernard of New Iberia, LA, Andronique Lemon of Franklin, LA; one (1) godchild Anna Willis of New Iberia, LA; seven (7) sisters Elizabeth Lemon, Autherine Lemon of Franklin, LA, Nancy Lemon of Walker, LA, Shelia (Alarist) Hamilton of Franklin, LA, Melvina (Godswill) Onyemata of Austin Texas, Audrey Hamilton, Annie Chris Hamilton of Austin, Texas. Four (4) stepsisters Glady Johnson, Josephine Mitchell of New Iberia, LA, Linda Beverly and Selina Mitchell of Franklin, LA; two (2) brothers Ricky Lemon and Joseph (Elaine) Garrison of Franklin, LA; one (1) stepbrother Johnson Mitchell of Florida Beach.
Nine (9) grandchildren Aniyah Hamilton, Kymyah Hayes, Terell Davis, Carneisha Davis, Arianna Hamilton, Shniyah Hamilton, Harland Edmond, Damien Edmond, Kerianna Hamilton; two (2) great-grandkids Kamryn Davis and Tiequin Allen and a host of neices, nephews, cousins and friends. Two (2) bestfriends Cynthia Davis and Darrelyn Hayes.
A long-term friend of the family Harold Turner who all realized that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her mother Esterine Lemon Mitchell; seven (7) brothers Danny Lemon, Michael Lemon, Randy Lemon, Henry Polidore, Raymond Mitchell, Kenneth Hamilton Mitchell, Wayne Hamilton and one (1) neice Ladasha Lemon and one (1) nephew Reginald Lemon.
Active Pallbearers: James Tardy, Demarcus Brown, K'myah Hayes, James Nora, Sh'niyah Hamilton, Darien Turner; Honorary Pallbearers: Nicholas Johnson, Ricky Lemon, Lane Howard, Lance Richard, Harland Edmond, Jermaine Thomas.
