David "Horse" Lyons, Jr.

New Iberia, LA - A Celebration of Life for Mr. David L. Lyons, Jr., 57, will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 7, 2025, at Fields Funeral Home. (712 Center Street).

Pastor Eric J. Fondal, Sr. will officiate.

A visitation will be held at Fields Funeral Home on Friday, March 7, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

"Horse", as he was affectionately known, was a resident of New Iberia, LA who transitioned on February 27, 2025, at Iberia Medical Center. Davis leaves behind his wife, Stacy Narcisse Lyons (St. Martinville); two sons, David Louis and D'Andre Lyons (New Iberia); one daughter, DeNara Louis (Lafayette); one sister, Tessa Livingston (New Iberia); and six grandchildren, Da Kyrie, Ciara, De Rhani, lylan, Landon, and A'Ziyah. David also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives, friends and a pet (Nova).

David was preceded in death by his parents, Geneville Benoit Lyons and David Lyons, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, John and Rita Benoit; and his paternal grandparents, Joseph Lyons, Sr. and Louisiana Charles Lyons.
