Franchesta Marie LaSalle, born on July26, 1984, in New Iberia, was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend. She peacefully departed this life on February 9, 2024, at Ochsner Medical Center. Franchesta was known for her kind heart, vibrant personality, and generosity towards others.
Franchesta's journey will be celebrated through two services that will be held on February 15, 2024. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Fields Funeral Home located at 712 Center Street in New Iberia, LA.
Family and friends remember Franchesta as a loving individual who cherished her time spent with loved ones. She had a special bond with her grandmother Mary Sereal and grandfather Freddie Broussard. Franchesta also held dear memories of her grandfather Paul Nora Sr., and grandmother Ella Wesley Nora. Her uncle Wallace Sereal played an important role in her life as well. Among her extended family were her great aunt Garrie Johnson and great-uncle Wilbert Johnson. She also had close relationships with her great-aunt Emma Mae Phillips and great-uncle Paul Nora.
Franchesta adored her family deeply and is survived by her husband Jermaine LaSalle; her father Chester Nora and mother Stella Marie Sereal. She shared a loving companionship with Devante Celestine. Franchesta was blessed with four beautiful children: Juanesha Marie Sereal, Jermaysha Michelle LaSalle, Jermaine Randolph LaSalle Jr., Jalisa Chestina LaSalle; and two step-children Jeramie Mahki LaSalle and Jasmin White Smith. Her three grandchildren brought immense joy into her life.
She leaves behind fond memories among her siblings: Chester Sereal, Chester Nora, Chester Hall, Trevonta Hall, Kavion Nora, Earl Dauntin, and Jaquma Matthews Sr. Franchesta's sisters included Unreaka Sereal, Jacqueline Sereal, Dianna Davis, Janika Davis, Alziysha Nora, Madison Hall, Mercedes Hall, Shantenianesha Nora, step-sister Kendra Gash, Donoveen Rudolph. She had a strong bond with her sister-in-law Jameeka LaSalle.
Franchesta found solace in her hobbies and interests. She enjoyed listening to music and cooking, both of which brought her peace and contentment.
Franchesta Marie LaSalle left an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew her. Her unwavering love and affection will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
