New Iberia, LA.- Funeral services for baby Gianni Smith, who passed away on December 1, 2025, will be Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Fields Funeral Home- 712 Center Street; New Iberia, LA. 70560.

Our precious baby, Gianni D’Shae Smith, left us too soon. Though Gianni’s time with us was brief, the love we felt was deep, real, and everlasting. We never had the chance to hold you in our arms, but we will carry you in our hearts forever. Your presence touched our lives in ways words can barely express, and your memory will remain a gentle light in our family’s story. 

Gianni is survived by his parents: Arianna Bourque and Elijah Smith; his grandparents: Summer Authorlee (Brent), Shameka Stanley, and Casey Lundy; and his two (2) aunts: Ericka Gasper and Nieya Gasper.

Gianni is preceded in death by his aunt: Sun’jai Oyibo; his grandfather: Edward Smith; and his great-grandfather: Kenneth Arabia.
