New Iberia, LA - A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Daiquan Jahiem Branch will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 11:00AM at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church of New Iberia, LA, 321 Center Street, New Iberia, LA 70560, Reverend Allen R. Randle, Sr., Pastor.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 10:00AM until the time of service.
Internment will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, 944 W. Main Street, New Iberia, LA 70560.
A beloved son, companion, father, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, Daiquan Jahiem Branch, 21, affectionately known as ‘Boog”, was born on February 11, 2003 to O’neil Jones, Jr. and Veronica Branch. “Boog” was a resident of New Iberia, LA. He transitioned at 7:05 P.M. on Sunday, May 12, 2024.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his kids: Londyn and Adrien ; his parents: O’niel Jones, Jr. of New Iberia, La. and Veronica Branch of Oakland, CA; his special companion: Jakaysha Hall of New Iberia, La; seven sisters: Dorjzean Branch of New Iberia, La, Diajzon Branch (Sederra) of Lafayette, La, Kailin Jones, Kennadi Jones, Bailey Olivier, Olivia Jones, Kailie Fuselier; five brothers: Semaj Branch, Sentaij Branch, Dortrion Branch, O’neil Jones III, and Kohen Jones; maternal grandmother Eloise Mouton; paternal grandparents Sheral and O’neil Jones, Sr.; six aunts: , Juilianna Berard, Erica J. Watson (James), Latrishia J. Hills (Willie), Monica J. Lopez (Keith), Leslie J. Turner (Curley), Paige J. Long (Trae) ; three uncles: Douglas Maiden (Trashayla), Victor Jones(Alexes), and Logan Jones, godparents: Roche Thibodeaux, Horace Walker, Jr., Juiliana Berard, Mike Gabriel, and Teedy Thibodeaux; bestfriend: Laurissa Brouusard; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Ronnie Branch, James Branch, Louisa Berard, Norbert Berard; paternal great-grandparents: Mary Jane St. Julien, Willie Lee III, Isabella and Harrison Jones, brother in law: Keith Provost, Jr. and a host of relatives and friends.
