Jakaal Keyon Hatcherson

A Celebration of Life for Jakaal Keyon Hatcherson will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11:00AM at Fields Funeral Home, 712 Center Street, New Iberia, LA 70560, Rev. Jimmy Reed, officiant. Jakaal passed away Monday, October 23, 2023 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana at 4:32AM. He was a resident of Paris, Illinois and a native of New Iberia, La. He was 20 years old.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 10:00AM at Fields Funeral Home, 712 Center Street, New Iberia, LA 70560 until the time of service.

Jakaal's untimely passing has been a deep blow to his family and friends. They will forever draw strength from their shared memories of him. His mother Shauna Hatcherson is left with profound grief at the loss of her beloved son. Jakaal was also blessed with two caring brothers: Allen Hamilton (Deshawn) and Synjaya Hamilton (Malekyie), as well as a sister named JaSheonna "Monae" Hatcherson.

Jakaal was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Peggy Ann Narcisse Hatcherson; great-grandparents Mary L. Mason, Freddie Narcisse Sr., and Amy Batiste; as well as three uncles: Freddie Narcisse Jr., Frank Matthews, and Kenny Batiste. He also leaves behind an indelible mark on the hearts of his nine aunts: Celestine Bouda, Lorraine Sparrow, Doretha Smith, Mary Yelling, Alberta Prevost, Tina Prevost, Shirley Webb, Joyce Alexander, and Eline Need. Additionally, Jakaal was cousins to Michael Smith, Gray Smith, Casselgro Batiste, Jamesia Trail, Ja'Quil Prevost, and Clinton Haisley.

Jakaal will be forever missed but never forgotten!
