Kenneth "KJ" Johnson, a beloved son, father, and friend, touched the hearts of many during his time on this earth. Born on September 10, 1993, in Morgan City, Louisiana, KJ brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. Tragically taken from us too soon on November 22, 2023, in Lafayette, Louisiana, his departure has left a void that can never be filled.

KJ's journey in life took him down the path of working as a licensed truck driver with S. Batiste Trucking. He was a hardworking individual who dedicated himself to his career. His commitment and work ethic were admired by all those who had the privilege of working alongside him. He attended South Louisiana Community College and earned a diploma in welding and a CDL diploma. But beyond his professional achievements, KJ will be remembered for his vibrant personality. Known as the life of the party, he had a contagious energy that uplifted everyone around him. His infectious smile illuminated even the darkest moments and served as a reminder to cherish each day. Despite the challenges that life threw his way, KJ faced them with unwavering strength and a caring heart. In his free time, KJ found solace in making music and spending time with his loyal companion Blue, his beloved dog. These hobbies were not just pastimes but expressions of his creativity and passion for life. As we mourn the loss of Kenneth "KJ" Johnson, we cannot help but reflect on his proudest accomplishments – being a loving father and sharing his musical talent with the world. Kenneth Jr., his precious son whom he adored dearly; stands as a testament to KJ's unwavering love and dedication as a parent.

KJ was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Brown and Gayle Johnson, his aunt, Jessica Gray, and maternal grandmother, Betty Phillips. They all shared a special bond with KJ that will be treasured forever.

KJ leaves behind a network of family members and friends whose lives have been forever impacted by his presence. He is survived by his love and life partner, Hailey Pellerin. Their connection was deep and profound, fueling each other's dreams and aspirations. Together they supported one another through thick and thin, creating a bond that will transcend time. He also leaves behind his sister Keysi Guidry (Tim), who shared a strong sibling bond filled with love and endless memories. He was also a cherished brother to Primos Johnson, Jamal Gray, Zarek Rollins, and Monroe Yancey. KJ's extended family played a significant role in his life. Clifton Jones and Jaime Gray always provided him with a sense of comfort and unwavering support during both joyful and challenging times. Countless friends were fortunate to have known KJ closely or from afar. His infectious energy drew people towards him like moths to a flame. Through thick and thin, he remained a loyal friend who offered unwavering support and unconditional love. These friendships created an intricate tapestry of memories that will be forever etched in the hearts of those who loved him.
