Kenneth Lee Robertson

New Iberia, LA – A home-going celebration of life for Kenneth Lee Robertson, 58, will be held at 3:00P.M. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Fields Funeral Home Chapel, 712 Center Street, Danny Demouchet, Officiating.

Visitation hours will be observed at Fields Funeral Home on Saturday, April 6, 2024, beginning at 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service. 

He will await the resurrection at Saint Matthew Cemetery (Fulton Street). 

Kenneth was a resident of New Iberia, LA. He transitioned on March 25, 2024 at his residence. 

Kenneth as he was affectionately known, to all who knew and loved him, was born to the parents of Williams Derouen and Ruby Robertson on May 17, 1965. Kenneth enjoyed life to the fullest with his family and friends. He loved all sports especially football.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother: Ruby Robertson of New Iberia, LA; five sons: Kenneth Anthony, Jermain Anthony, Broderick Anthony, Jamarcus Dennis and Kentrall Dennis, all of New Iberia, LA; one daughter: April Robertson; six brothers: William DeRouen, Jr., Johnny DeRouen, Lawrence DeRouen, Mark DeRouen, Danny DeRouen, and Ricky DeRouen; two best-friends he reared as brothers: Warren Washington and Tracy DeRouen; three sisters: Lois DeRouen, Susan Simon, and Jessica Fusilier; 14 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Debra (Vilcan) Robertson; his fathers: William DeRouen, Sr. and Earl Soony Robertson; infant brother: Dwanyn Robertson; brother: Carrol DeRouen; maternal grandmother: Gladys Welcome; paternal grandparents: Anna DeRouen and Herbert DeRouen, Edna Mae Comeaux Provost and Leo Robertson; maternal aunt and uncle: Ethelayn Welcome, Ernest Welcome, Dalls Welcome; paternal aunts and uncles: Mable Provost, Alvin Provost and David Provost. 

Active pallbearers are Kenneth Anthony, Broderick Anthony, Kentrall Dennis, Jermaine Anthony, Jamarcus Dennis and Jason George.
