Jeanerette, LA - A home-going celebration of the life for Mr. Charles J. Lewis, 71, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Fields Funeral Home Chapel (712 Center Street) with Reverend Samuel Wise, officiating.

Visitation hours will be observed at Fields Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 22, 2023, beginning at 12:00 P.M. until the time of service.

Mr. Charles Lewis was a resident of Jeanerette, LA. He passed at 12:12 P.M. on Sunday, July 16, 2023.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Joyce J. Lewis, two sons, Carlos (Tiffany) Lewis of Jeanerette, LA, and Tremaine Williams; two daughters: Samika (Turon) Jenkins-Leduff of Baker, LA and Miculyn Berry of Jeanerette, LA; two brother: Larry Lewis and Wilson (Ronda) Lewis of Jeanerette, LA; six sister in laws: Debra (John) Wiles, Joronica (Rita), Mary Ann Gertrude, Lisa Daniel, Carol and Cynthia Jenkins; two brother in laws: Gerald (Tammie) Jenkins and Allen (Chavona) Jenkins and Greg Paul; aunts: Louvenia Antoine, Cora Wesley, Leana Lewis, Alice Roberts, and Mary McGee; uncles: Cornelius Lewis, Frank Lewis, and Willie Lewis; Special cousin: Cynthia Stephens; Special God-child, Evelyn Lewis; Special Friend, George Warner; grandchildren: Kiara Solco, Kimyana Teno, Kwayona Teno, Kandiss Teno, Jaridon Jenkins, Tarin Leduff, Malai'jah Berry, Doderick Morris; nine great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Irma Victoria Lewis; his brother: Gerald Lewis; aunts: Celestine Loston, Annie Mae Evans, Evelyn Dixon, and Rose Dauphine; uncle: Oniel Landor, Sr.

Family will share in a memorial repass the Fields Funeral Home family reception area.
