Kevin L. Robertson, "Buck"

A celebration of life service for Kevin Lynn Robertson, “Buck”, 57, will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Fields Funeral Home Chapel.  Viewing will begin at 10 A.M.

Family Visitation hours will be observed at Fields Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 5:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M.

A native of Glencoe, LA, Robertson was born on January 5, 1965.  He transitioned peacefully at 11:38am on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at his residence in Freetown surrounded by his family.  

Kevin was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, great uncle, nephew, and best friend.  He attended Franklin Junior High and Senior High.  He went on to farming and helping family and friends, taking care of the elderly, helping at the fire department in Four Corners, LA. and wherever else he was needed. Kevin loved to dance and make memories.  If there was a gathering, he was the life of the party.  Everyone expected to see him dancing or asking someone if they needed any help. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and he became a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church of Glencoe, LA on November 21, 2021. 

He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Kimberly (Rodney) Landry of Glencoe, LA; one son, Travis Davis of Franklin, LA; one daughter who he cared like his own from birth, K’Era Poleder, two god-children, Shaniya Johnson and Teralyn Johnson, seven grandchildren and three special grandchildren he loved as his own, two very special grandsons whom he adored, Kaleb & Kay’Ron, four sisters, Julia Freeman, Judy Robertson, LaShonda Robertson, and Keisa Mitchell, three brothers, Matthew Robertson, Jr., Damien Robertson, and Clarence Fine, three special sisters, Aquatranese McDaniel, Lawanda Johnson, Latrina Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. 

He is reunited in heaven with his parents, Matthew aka “Joe Lewis” Robertson, Sr., and Maggie Steward Robertson, and his godmother, Irene Washington. Maternal grandparents, James and Mary Steward, and Paternal grandparents, Samuel Lumpkin, and Sedonia Keal.

Active Pallbeareres are Rondell Landry, Travis Davis, Brennon Broussard, Rodney Landry, Sr., Rodney Landry, Jr., and Ronald Chillis.

Honorary Pallbearers are Matthew Robertson, Jr., Joseph Jennings, Glenn Webber, Herby Merrick, Damien Robertson, Kameron Poleder, Brian Merrick, and Kendell Poleder.
